National publications that have utilized Dave Cutler’s illustrations over the course of his freelance career include Time, Business Week, Forbes, NY Times, LA Times, Playboy, Glamour, Newsweek, Washington Post, and US News & World Report. Corporate clients are worldwide and include AT&T, IBM, Microsoft, COMPAQ, FORD, GM, GE, ADP, NETCOM, Bank of America, NBC, HBO, McDonald’s, EDS, Yellow Freight, ITT, Sprint, MCI, and IPG.
Dave’s work has been selected for a vast array of special events and circumstances: his images have appeared on the New York City Marathon poster and T-shirt, Banana Republic T-shirts, Unicef’s international holiday greeting cards and Sony Music’s All-Star Holiday CDs. He is one of six international artists whose work was chosen to grace the entrance to Epcot’s Millennium Village in Orlando, Florida, and more recently, he became one of only 22 artists selected to have their work displayed in the United Nations to commemorate September 11th.
Dave’s original artwork has been exhibited in shows around the world and can be viewed in the private collections of Mercedes-Benz, IBM, NETCOM, ADP, the University of Chicago Hospitals and more. Additionally, his work has been featured in

Associations that have chosen to honor Dave Cutler’s talents with their highest awards include the Society of Illustrators/NY, Society of Illustrators/LA, Society of Illustrators/Dallas, the Society of Publication Designers, the Society of Newspaper Designers, the Art Directors Club/NY, the Art Directors Club/Houston, and the Advertising Club of Kansas City (three Gold OMNI awards). He has also received a Gold Quill Award for Annual Report Illustration, an award for Print Magazine's Regional Design Annuals, Medical Marketing Association’s IN-AWE Awards, and three American Graphic Design Awards for Illustration. Moreover, an illustration he created for Time was accepted into the Creativity 28 Annual.
Dave is a member of the Society of Illustrators and Graphic Artists Guild. He lives with his wife and two children in Redding, CT. WHEN I WISHED I WAS ALONE is his first children’s book.
